My Story

Hello, I'm Daniel Paul Duval, a storyteller whose journey began in the quiet corners of a public school classroom. I still remember the moment a teacher looked me in the eye and said, "You have talent as a writer." That simple affirmation planted a seed that, over time, grew into a profound passion for sharing stories.

For years, my narratives remained private, whispered only to the pages of my notebooks. It wasn't until I found the courage to share them publicly that I truly understood the power of storytelling. This courage was nurtured by the unwavering support of my wife, Esther. Her belief in me has been the cornerstone of my writing journey, encouraging me to give voice to the tales that have long lived within me.

Our home in Evansville, Ontario, perched atop the Niagara Escarpment on Manitoulin Island, offers daily inspiration. With panoramic views of Campbell Bay and Wolsely Lake, the serene and healing environment fuels my creativity and provides a tranquil backdrop for reflection and writing.

Our household is a lively one, shared with our two dogs, Bear and Happy; our parrot, Xavier; and our cat, Boo. Their companionship adds warmth and joy to our lives, often finding their way into the heart of my stories.
